I first heard of Pasricha because of his collection of short stories on positivity called The Book of Awesome. Neil’s writing is full of self-deprecation, humor, and a much-needed dose of positivity. I highly encourage you to check him out if you need help seeing the joy in daily life.
There’s a lot to be said for seeing the world through rose-colored glasses. Building a positive mindset has been proven to help reduce stress, increase lifespan, and promote better coping skills during times of hardship and stress. While The Book of Awesome was my first exposure to Neil Pasricha’s work, it is his book on resilience; You Are Awesome which really forced me to make some major changes in my life. I’m still learning to put gratitude, positivity, and resilience into effect in my life but the benefits are clear.
